Working with SMEs

We love working with smaller businesses. Our work sees us flying all over the world working for global organisations, but we always relish the chance to work with small businesses at home, because that’s where we started. Taking over the reins of her family business in 2004 was a challenge, but one that was set to be a game changer for the print firm involved and life changing for our director, Louisa Moger, who agreed to leave behind her job in publishing to step in and help the business out.

The firm was in debt and reporting cumulatively losses of over £1 million. Louisa changed the strategic direction of the company after a competitor review and market research. Spotting an opportunity to diversify, she transformed the family business in just over 6 years, moving to an increased turnover, significantly lowered debt and improved net profit by 46%, earning business awards and much press attention.

She regularly utilises that first-hand experience and uses it to help small businesses develop and grow in the right direction. Louisa was voted one of the UK’s Top 50 Business Advisers by Enterprise Nation, included in the Management Today/Sunday Times 35 under 35 awards and has worked with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme, Aston Business School’s small business growth programme and the BEIS- supported GrowthAccelerator scheme.
